The Ellanee Doll
Company, Inc. was
located in Brooklyn, New York 11211 from 1957 to 1991. They made Walking dolls, Drink N' Wet Baby
dolls, Musical dolls, New Born Baby Dolls, Cloth Rag Dolls and Novelty Dolls.
Dolls were made of
hard plastic or vinyl in Hong Kong or Taiwan and assembled and packaged in the
U.S.A.
ca. 1957+ Ellanee Drink N' Wet
Baby doll, 17" tall, is a
Madame Alexander 1955 Baby Kathy
look a like doll (Kathy is marked Alexander), she
has a vinyl head with lightly painted molded hair, single stroke
eyebrows, blue sleep eyes with real upper eyelashes, painted lower
lashes, an open mouth with hole for drinking a bottle. Has a
five piece hard plastic jointed body, doll marked 20F-5 L-E.

This same doll head mold can also be found totally unmarked.
Is it an Alexander (marked as such), Dee & Cee (marked as such), Ellanee
(marked with numbers and letters), J. Cey (marked J.C.),
Reliable Wetums doll
(marked Reliable) or another company altogether, is unknown
to us. |

ca. 1960s Ellanee Drink N' Wet Baby doll, 19" tall,

Ellanee Yawny John doll, 16" tall, soft vinyl head and hands, stuffed cloth
body and legs, he has an open yawning mouth, slightly closed painted blue eyes,
smooth bald no hair head, no eyebrows, wore various flannel print one piece pajamas, doll marked Ellanee Doll 19©75
or doll head marked L -E.
