| The Bible Doll Company of America was
founded by Mrs. Max L. Foreman in Philadelphia, PA.
Company history is unknown, however, the dolls they made
were based on Biblical characters, shown on right is Miriam from 1953
11" tall, all hard plastic with sleep eyes, jointed
body, rooted hair.
Miriam is dressed in Hebrew
attire with long orange dress and black and
white striped head covering, tied with a white cord with sandals,
which came with a baby Moses in his
bulrush basket with blanket. The included envelope reads: Holy Land Earth
from the Mount of Olives and contains soil from the Mount of
Olives inside.
Some of the other Bible
characters were: David, Esther, Joseph, Rebekah &
Ruth and probably others.
