1912 Franz Wiesewetter Girl doll mold 502, 15" tall

Franz Kiesewetter Girl Doll, 15" tall

Franz or Hermann Kiesewetter Dolls 1900s German

Hermann and Franz Kiesewetter may have worked or were associated with the established Porzellanfabrik Leube & Company (1883-1964) in Reichmannsdorf, Thuringia, Germany from 1907 to 1917 at which time Hermann retired.

Porzellanfabrik Leube & Company made dolls, figurines and toys mostly for export.  It's unclear to us the relationship of Franz, is he a brother or son of Hermann?  Likely, but we don't have any conclusive information.

Franz Kiesewetter Girl Doll shown at left, is 15" tall, all composition with sleep eyes, open smiling happy mouth with teeth, wigged, composition jointed body.  She has a replaced modern wig and clothing seems appropriate but probably not original.
