Gebruder Kuhnlenz Dolls 1884-1935 German

Founded by brothers; Julius, Bruno and Cuno Kuhnlenz in 1884, their porcelain factory was located in Kronach, Bavaria, Germany.  They made bisque head Dolly face, unique Character face and tiny 7" dolls.  It's believed that Kuhnlenz also supplied bisque heads to the French market.  Gebruder Kuhnlenz dolls are of very good quality

Some Kuhnlenz doll markings may contain a symbol of a sunburst with G K inside above a mold number, as shown in doll marking on right, mold # 44 ------>

Kuhlenz Dolly face, mold 165 doll, 24" tall

Kuhnlenz bisque head Dolly face, mold 165 doll, 24" tall, shown on left;  sleep eyes, real brush upper eyelashes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered painted eyebrows, open mouth with upper teeth, jointed composition body.
