Theodor Recknagel Dolls 1893-1930

The Theodor Recknagel porcelain factory began in ca. 1886,  located in Alexandrienthal, near Thuringia, Germany.  Recknagel did not begin doll production until 1893.  The four digit mold (19XX) numbers do not appear to co-inside with actual dates, as one might think.  Recknagel dolls can be of the finest quality to rather course bisque.
