Mattel Ricky Doll and Fashions - 1965-1967

Ricky came onto the market in 1965, he was Skipper's boyfriend, has the same body as Skipper and Skooter, and bears the same markings as the 1964 Skipper doll. BUT - he does have his own wardrobe - and I think Skipper probably "borrowed" from him. He has six outfits, plus his original swimsuit and jacket all tagged "Ricky".

Ricky 1965

1090 Ricky Straight legs (1965)

Molded red hair, blue eyes, tan skin tone, solid blue swim trunks $10, blue horizontal stripe jacket, collar of white terry cloth $5, red strap & cork sandals $15, "Ricky" wrist tag, liner/box, black wire stand and booklet. He has the same body mold as Skipper & Skooter and is 9 1/4" tall.

1090 Ricky Straight legs (1966-1967)

Pinker skin, rest the same as 1965.

1501 Lights Out (1965-1967)

Blue terry cloth robe, patch pocket $10, belt $10 and blue scuffs $15, two piece yellow long sleeved shirt, white collar and initial $10, matching pull on pants $10. NRFB $100, MC $55.

1502 Saturday Show 1965

Long sleeve white dress shirt $5, red skinny tie $15, light tan zippered slacks $6, red socks $4 and black shoes $12. NRFB $70, MC $45.

1503 Sunday Suit 1965

Striped blazer $12, black collar (same fabric as 985 Barbie's Open Road, slacks & coat lining) black zippered pants $10, short sleeved white cotton shirt $5, red socks $4, and black shoes $12. NRFB $70, MC $45.

1504 Little League (1965-1967)

Red knit pull on shirt with blue stripe $4, matching red knit socks $15, zippered jeans $6, white tennis shoes $20, brown plastic catchers mitt $10, white plastic baseball $4, red baseball hat with a white "M" initial $6. NRFB $95, MC $65.

1505 Skateboard (1966-1967)

White sport shirt, red and gray pin stripe cotton $10, white zippered shorts $10, white knit socks $4 and white tennis shoes $20, and beige plastic skateboard, red stripe $20. NRFB $100, MC $64.

1506 Let's Explore (1966-1967)

Red plaid long sleeve shirt, patch pocket $15, gray zippered slacks $12, red knit socks $4, black shoes $12. NRFB $85, MC $43.
