ca. 1880s Bébé Mothereau bisque head 23″ tall, cork pate, paperweight eyes, thin feathered eyebrows, closed mouth, French composition & wood jointed body, doll mark JM.
Alexandre Célestin Triburce Mothereau and Alexandre Louis Bayeaux (1881-1882) pressed bisque head bebe doll marks size number BM, J symbol M, M.B., T.B. In 1899 the Mothereau business was sold to SFBJ, although there is no mention of Mothereau in a SFBJ book published in 1986.
