The Century Doll Company of New York made bisque & composition dolls
from 1909-1930's. Max Scheuer the founder retired in 1926 and his
sons continued the business until 1929 when they merged with the Domec
Toy Company and were then known as the Doll Corporation of America.
They are probably best known for their
Bye-Lo type bisque character Babies with Kestner made bisque
heads. Some other doll names were: Babette, Baby Shirley,
Barbara, Blue Eyes, Brown Skin Dolls, Darky Doll, Mastercraft Dolls,
Sweetums & The Century Doll. Below are some of Century's doll's we have found:
