1950s Colgate Palmolive Vel (dishwashing) or Fab (laundry Detergent} Doll 9″ tall, hard plastic jointed body, sleep eyes, No molded lashes, blonde mohair wig, wore a short pink dress with white trim tied at the waist with ribbon, white nylon socks and white vinyl slip on shoes, mail in premium doll shipped in a plain brown mailing box.

1952 Colgate-Palmolive Fab, Incline Walking doll 6″ tall, all hard plastic, jointed at the hips, painted molded blonde hair, blue side glancing sleep eyes, closed mouth, dressed in a sleeveless red and white polka dot dress, painted white socks and black shoes. Doll marked on bottom of her foot PMA. The Incline walking doll was made by Plastic Molded Arts. Advertising doll for Colgate-Palmolive Fab soap detergent.

1955 Colgate-Palmolive Fab Virga Lucy walking doll 7 1/2″-8″ tall, a hip pin walker, Ginny type doll, Lucy is all hard plastic with a jointed body, glued on golden blonde wig, sleep eyes, closed mouth, dressed in a purple sleeveless bodice with attached large colorful polka dotted skirt, white shoes. Fab soap box tops mail in premium for the doll. Advertising doll for Colgate-Palmolive Fab soap detergent.

1955-1958 Sun Rubber Gerber Baby doll, 11-13″ and 18″ tall, made of all rubber, with molded hair and open mouth, designed by Bernard Lipfert, doll mark on head: Gerber Baby © Gerber Products Co, mark on back Mfg. by the Sun Rubber Co. Barberton, O., USA Pat. 2118682 Pat. 2160739.
Also 1956 Citro Polly Pond’s Bride fashion type doll 24″ tall, with a one piece stuffed vinyl body, doll sold for $21.95 originally, doll marked 1325-1, Made in USA on neck and a 1950s Citro Polly Pond’s Bridesmaid doll 8″ tall, each doll dressed accordingly, came with beauty kits and are different dolls altogether.

1956 Horsman Lifesaver Candy Doll, 11″ tall, has the Betty one piece vinyl stuffed body jointed only at the neck with the Ruthie or Betty vinyl head mold, rooted hair in the pastel colors of: pink, green, or blue, sleep eyes, came with a miniature roll of Lifesaver candy attached at the doll’s neck. Doll shown has pink pastel hair and is in her original clothing, doll marked on neck Horsman 20. Advertising doll Kraft Foods Lifesaver Candy brand.

ca. 1956 Nasco Miss Pepsodent doll, 16″ tall, vinyl head with rooted hair, sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth that roll to change from yellow (when laying down) to white (when standing upright), one piece magic skin body jointed only at the neck, doll marked Ae or AE. Advertising doll for Unilever’s Pepsodent toothpaste.

1957 Colgate-Palmolive Fab, Picture Doll, a Virga non walker Lucy doll, 7 1/2-8″ tall, Ginny type doll, Lucy is all hard plastic with a jointed body, glued on pale blonde wig, sleep eyes, closed mouth, dressed in a pink short sleeve taffeta dress with light blue ric rak trim, straw hat with pink ribbon, pink socks, pink rubber shoes. Fab soap box tops mail in premium for the doll, plus three other outfits; Wedding Ensemble, Daytime Dress, Sleepy-time Lounge outfit. Advertising doll for Colgate-Palmolive Fab soap detergent.
1958+ American Character Toni doll, 10, 14, 20 and 25″ tall, Gillette advertising doll for Toni hair care products, fashion lady doll with high heel feet, she has the same face mold as Sweet Sue Sophisticate; vinyl head with rooted hair, plastic body jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips, the 25″ size has a twist waist, slightly smaller bust line than Sweet Sue Sophisticate, the 10″ size doll came came in beautiful 1950s style outfits, also sold separately.
Earle Pullan also sold a similar Toni doll, at least in the 24-25″ size, it’s unknown what Pullan named her, doll mark Earle Pullan.

1951 Horsman Hanes Baby doll, 18, 21, 22″ tall, possibly other sizes too, vinyl head with molded hair, vinyl lower arms, closed eyes, open yawning mouth, cloth stuffed body and limbs, came dressed in a two piece sleeper set in blue, pale green or pink with a Hanes tag, doll is marked Horsman or unmarked, advertising doll for Hanes.
Early 1950s Caleski doll, 16 1/2″ tall, all cloth stuffed doll wearing imprinted clothing; a green beany cap, painted outline of hair, painted facial features, pointed elf ears, green gloves with left hand holding a camera, a brown film strip tunic with dolls name imprinted on front and green jester type shoes, advertising doll for opticians who also sold and processed film.
1956 Ideal Miss Revlon doll, hard plastic, see the Ideal page. 1957 Arranbee Miss Coty Girl doll made of hard plastic on the Arranbee page.
1959 Eegee Miss Sunbeam doll, 17″ tall, hard plastic jointed body, vinyl head with blonde rooted hair in an up-do, blue sleep eyes, closed smiling mouth, wore a blue 1950s style short sleeve dress with a full skirt, white collar and cuffs, white half apron, socks and shoes, doll mark Eegee on back of neck. Sunbeam bread advertising doll. In 1970 Horsman made a smaller Miss Sunbeam hard plastic doll. Checkmate Promotions, Inc. made an all cloth Miss Sunbeam doll, actual date unknown, most likely after the 1970s.
