The Deluxe Reading Penny Brite doll, was the only doll in this series, mase during 1964 until 1970, Penny Brite is 8″ tall, blonde short curly rooted hair, dimpled Shirley Temple like cheeks, left side glancing painted eyes and lashes, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips with legs made of soft rubber which do not hold a pose.
Penny Brite wears a red and white pleated dress with blue flower appliqués on the white stripes, white collar with short sleeve cuffs, a red hair bow and white flat shoes. Penny Brite was packaged in a blue hard plastic blue case with a clear front and a The Wonderful World of Penny Brite blue booklet showing clothing and accessories.

The 1965+ Cragstan Miss Cindy doll is 8″ tall, doll marked Hong Kong on head and back, left side glancing eyes and is a clone look-a-like of the Penny Brite doll.
