1954 Nancy Ann #500 Muffie doll 8″ tall

The Nancy Ann Storybook Doll Company NASB (1936-1971), was founded by Nancy Ann Abbott in San Francisco, CA USA and first made small bisque dolls, later they made hard plastic dolls, such as the Muffie doll.

1953-1968 Nancy Ann Muffie Doll characteristics – she is 8″ tall, all hard plastic, glued on wig, sleep eyes, closed mouth with a jointed body at the neck, shoulders and hips and walkers also have bent knees; her dynel wig came in various colors and styles and her feet have detailed toes. Muffie dolls arms have metal loops for stringing, instead of plastic arm hooks and her hands have separate fingers.

1953 Nancy Ann Muffie doll 8″, suntan, strung doll, all hard plastic SLW with jointed body, auburn dynel wig, blue sleep eyes, closed mouth, wearing Nursey series; #505 a blue dress with red hearts trim, doll is unmarked.

1953 Nancy Ann Muffie doll 8″ tall, a strung SLW = straight leg walker doll, no eyebrows, all hard plastic with jointed body, blue sleep eyes and real lashes, an auburn dynel wig with a side part and styled in a flip wig, outfit #603-1 Muffie’s Favorite Fashion series a blue and white striped and polka dot dress, doll marked Storybook Dolls California.
