Käthe Kruse produced her fine antique dolls made of canvas cloth with painted facial features in Germany and Bavaria after World War II.  Early cloth dolls are usually marked Käthe Kruse on the sole of the foot and some have a number.  Celluloid or plastic dolls are usually found with the celluloid turtle mark and the Käthe Kruse name on their backs.
