Paris Doll Company Dolls 1922+ USA
Little is known about the Paris Doll Company located New York city at 203 East 18th Street, New York, in the United States from 1922 to 1957. Paris Doll produced a Peggy composition walking doll and then made dolls of hard plastic until 1956.
In 1957 the Horsman Doll Company purchased Paris Doll Corporation and renamed it the Horsman Couturier Division for just one year, after that it simply became part of Horsman Dolls. Horsman also acquired Paris Doll Company’s talented young fashion designer Irene Szor.
1940s+ Paris Doll Company Dolls Identified

late-1940s Paris Doll Company Peggy walker doll, 28″ tall, all composition jointed body, sleep eyes, wigged, open mouth with teeth, walker mechanism, jointed at neck, arms and hips, see the metal crier on the dolls chest, doll is unmarked.
Paris Peggy’s ad reads: “In order to make Peggy walk, stand in back of her, holding her by the shoulder as you would a baby learning to walk. With her feet on the floor, keep her erect and then walk gently behind her, giving a light push. You will see her make forward steps, just like a baby. 1951+ Paris Doll Rita bride walking doll, 28″ tall, all durable hard plastic walker, sleep eyes, real upper eyelashes painted lower lashes, open smiling mouth with teeth, saran wig, walks, sits and stands with no mechanism, was sold in leading Toy and Department stores throughout the country, came exquisitely and completely dressed as a Bride, doll is unmarked. 1951+ Paris Doll Company Rita walking doll, 28″ tall, all hard plastic, saran wig in pigtails of strawberry blonde, blonde or dark brunette (other wig styles were also available) some with molded hair beneath, sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, doll shown left is all original in her brown and orange plaid dress, sheer white apron, white nylon socks and red leather one strap shoes, doll is unmarked.

1951+ Paris Doll Company Rita walking Majorette doll, 28″ tall, all durable hard plastic walker, blue sleep eyes, real upper eyelashes painted lower lashes, open smiling mouth with teeth, saran wig, sits, stands and walks without a mechanism, was sold in leading Toy and Department stores throughout the country, came exquisitely and completely dressed, Majorette outfit; satin trimmed with gold and matching boots with gold tassels, doll is unmarked. Find Paris Rita vintage doll values

1952+ Paris Doll Company Carol walking doll, 24″ tall, came as either a white or black doll, the Carol shown is the black doll, all hard plastic, brown sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, long brown pigtail braided saran wig, jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips, dressed in her original red checked dress with a sheer white pinafore, white socks and red mary jane shoes, the Paris Carol doll is unmarked. 1950s Palitoy Pin-Up girl walking doll 25″ tall is the same as Paris Carol walking doll in the 25″ size, doll mark Palitoy Made in England.

1954+ Paris Doll Company Rita Bride walking doll or Rita Bridesmaid walking doll, 28″ tall, all durable hard plastic jointed at neck, shoulders and hips body, walking doll, with vinyl head and saran rooted hair in various colors and styles, sleep eyes, closed mouth, doll came wearing various outfits of which was as a Bride, Bridesmaid and others.
1956 Paris Rita walking dolls with a vinyl head, rooted hair doll mark circle X, PARIS DOLL or unmarked. 1956 Paris Peggy walking doll 24″ tall is marked 452, circle with an X inside or unmarked.

ca. 1956 Paris Doll Corporation Nadia Walking Ballerina doll, 18″ tall, hard plastic slim body, rooted blonde hair, jointed at neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles, dressed in a white ballerina tutu with ballerina slippers and ribbon ties, doll is unmarked.
Nadia’s box side flap reads: The original walking ballerina doll with jointed knee and ankle, Pat. Pend, by Paris Doll Corp. New York. It appears the Paris Doll Company changed it’s name to Paris Doll Corporation ca. 1956. In 1957 the Horsman doll company produced this same doll under their own label, having recently acquired the Paris Doll Corporation.
