Roberta Doll Company Dolls 1946-1970s USA
The Roberta Doll Company was a small to mid-sized doll maker from about 1946 to the 1970s. Not much is known about the Roberta company. Doll collectors will find the company made or sold composition, hard plastic and vinyl dolls, many dolls that look like other doll makers, knock-off dolls or dolls bought to dress and sell from other doll manufacturers.
The Roberta Doll Company is probably best known for their LuAnn Simms and Roberta Ann dolls and they also sold Teenage dolls, glamour high heel girls, Ballerinas, Brides and some Baby dolls too.

Niresk Industries, a catalog company, sold, dressed many other doll makers, dolls. The Roberta Ann walker 14″ tall doll appears to be the same as Niresk’s Hollywood Bride 14″ tall doll, both dolls have the same flat face profile.

ca. 1956 Roberta Ann, Ballerina doll 14″ tall, all hard plastic jointed body, wigged, sleep eyes, open mouth, doll marked Made in USA. Many doll makers used the Made in USA doll mark along with or without a number – so they can be difficult to pin point the exact doll maker.

1957-1965 Roberta Ann Bride doll 17-18″ tall, hard plastic and vinyl head with rooted hair, sleep eyes, high heel feet, doll shown mint and all original in her box, doll mark 14RA and below that 818. Note: The 14R dolls were sold by many different doll manufactures.
