Effanbee F & B 1940s Vintage Little Lady Anne Shirley Doll and Clothes Identified USA
1939+ Effanbee F & B Little Lady or Anne Shirley dolls are all composition five piece jointed slim body dolls from 14 to 28″ tall, wigged, sleep eyes, with a closed mouth. The few black Little Lady Anne Shirley dolls are probably from the dressed portrait dolls.
The Effanbee Little Lady Anne Shirley dolls were each sold dressed in elegant sleep wear, little girl day dresses to full gowns. No clothing booklet came with the dolls, that did not happen until the 1959+ Mattel Barbie doll era.
