Alma Cloth Dolls 1929-1933 Italy

The Alma Doll Company operated from 1929 to about 1933 in Torino, Italy. Alma’s felt child or character dolls are Lenci look a like competitors and are equally well constructed. Dolls have elastic strung limbs, molded felt head with painted facial features, gathered and folded felt applied ears, mohair wigs and came wearing wonderful costumes. Alma cloth dolls were produced for such a short time, few dolls are found in the market today.

Anili Doll Company Dolls 1948+ Italy


The Anili Doll Company of Italy, was founded by Anili Scavini in 1948 the daughter of Elena Scavini who founded Lenci. 

Anili made Lenci like sculpted cloth dolls and also dolls made of celluloid.  Anili doll operations ceased in 1986. Some Anili dolls are marked with a circular paper tag with a heart symbol and Anili Italy on it, they probably used other tags over the years, as well, otherwise dolls are unmarked.
