The Karl Hartmann doll company was located in Stockheim, upper Franconia, Germany from 1911 until 1926 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Hartmann made lovely antique bisque socket head Dolly faced child dolls on composition jointed bodies, sized 14″ to 30″ tall, wigged, feathered brows, real upper eyelashes or painted eyelashes, light and delicate painted lower lashes, glass eyes, open mouth with teeth.  Karl Hartmann dolls are of very good quality.

Carl Hartmann Antique Bisque Dolls 1889-1936 German

Carl Hartmann founded his doll factory in Neustadt, by Coburg, Germany and made dressed dolls for export. In 1898 Carl Hartmann registered the doll mark Globe (Globe Baby), dolls have a bisque head, are beautifully dressed and on a composition jointed body.

Carl Hartmann also advertised Hansa dolls, Paladin Baby dolls, Marta dolls, Kammer & Reinhardt character dolls, Ericka soft stuffed dolls. The Carl Hartmann doll factory supplied unmarked with no brand on the dolls for export. Mr. Carl Hartmann passed away in 1936.
