Ronnaug Petterssen Cloth Dolls 1930s+ Norway
Ronnaug Petterssen dolls were made from the 1930s until the 1970s in Norway. Her dolls are made of felt cloth with a pressed mask face or celluloid head, dolls are 7 1/2″ to 18″ tall, and possibly larger, with a cloth stuffed body, jointed at the neck, shoulder and hip, center seams on front of legs, arms attached with fabric for movement and have mitten like hands without fingers and painted eyes.
Dolls are dressed in Norwegian regional costumes. Dolls are unmarked, but came with a two sided round blue and silver foil label that read; Ronnaug Petterssen in script. On back side; Made in Norway, symbol of a Laplander, Vere Merke – trademark.
