Eegee, Goldberger Dolls 1960s+ USA

The Eegee Doll Company was founded in 1916 by Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Goldberger in Brooklyn, NY the Eegee trademark was first used in 1923.  Early dolls were marked EG, Gold Doll, Gold Doll Co., E. Goldberger and finally Eegee or Goldberger or TRADEMARK EEGEE Dolls MADE IN USA inside a circle.  Eegee made plastic and vinyl dolls in the 1960s+. Eegee is still a family run business today (04/2025) as Goldberger Toys.

1960s Eegee Lil Susan doll, 8″ tall, bubble-cut blonde rooted hair, painted eyes, closed mouth, mint in box, wearing a sleeveless top, belt, dark pants, doll mark could be Eegee.

1960s Eegee Ma Brown pickles advertising doll 15" tall

1960s Eegee Ma Brown 15″ tall a pickles adverting doll, older Lady doll, vinyl head with platinum hair in updo, painted eyes, wears glasses, closed mouth, wears a blue and white check long sleeve gown with white apron and Ma Brown embroidered on the bottom, doll mark Eegee.

1961-1963 Eegee Andy doll 12" tall

1961-1963 Eegee Andy doll, 12″ tall, #A70 shown MIB, plastic jointed boy doll, painted facial features, molded hair, doll mark 1961 EG.  Andy may have been Annette’s boyfriend a Ken clone.

1961-1963 Eegee Annette Nurse doll, 11 1/2″ tall, high heel fashion doll, she has rooted hair, and painted facial features. Appears to be Andy’s girlfriend, same or similar to the Babette doll.

1961 Eegee Playpal type doll 29″ tall, Ideal Suzy playpal one year old look a like, vinyl head with short rooted hair, sleep eyes, closed mouth jointed hard plastic walker body, doll mark Eegee.

1961-1965 Eegee Babette or Miss Babette doll 11 1/2" tall Barbie clone

1961-1965 Eegee Babette or Miss Babette doll, 11 1/2″ teenage fashion doll, came as a white or the more rare black Babette doll, (Bild Lilli, Barbie clone or competitor) doll, came wearing earrings, striped swimsuit (several colors) and high heel shoes, usually doll marked EG.

1963 Eegee Gemmette doll, 15 1/2″ tall, rooted hair, sleep eyes, jointed body, dressed in a matching gem colored dress and included a child’s gem ring; Miss Amethyst, Miss Emerald, Miss Diamond, Miss Ruby, Miss Sapphire and Miss Topaz, doll marked © 1963 Eegee Co.

1963+ Eegee Lil Sister doll 9 1/4" tall

1963+ Eegee Lil Sister doll, 9 1/4″ tall, soft plastic head with long straight rooted hair, with or without bangs, painted blue eyes, freckles across the bridge of her nose, closed painted mouth, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips.  Lil Sister looks similar to Ideal Tammy dolls little sister Pepper.  Wore a red and white swimsuit similar to the Mattel Skipper doll.  Eegee Lil Sister doll marked EG, Eegee 100.

1963 Eegee Puppetrina doll, 22 1/2″ tall, rooted hair, sleep eyes, real lashes, open mouth, rosy full cheeks, put your fingers in her arms and head to make the doll move, came in various outfits.

1963 Eegee Shelley doll 8" tall

1963 Eegee Shelley doll, 8″ tall, all vinyl small fashion doll, rooted hair in a ponytail, sleep eyes, closed mouth, jointed vinyl body.  Came as a dressed doll or outfits could be bought separately, doll probably marked EG or Eegee.

1963 Eegee Shelley doll, 12″ tall, teenage fashion doll, Ideal Tammy clone or look a like with rooted grow hair, blue painted side glancing eyes, closed mouth, jointed fashion doll body, doll mark Eegee.

1963 Eegee Stone Age Baby doll 13" tall Flintstone clone

1963 Eegee Stone Age Baby doll, 12 or 14″, Ideal Pebbles Flintstone knock-off, look a like, clone or competitor, vinyl head with short short hair with a plastic bone attached, painted facial features with side glancing eyes, closed smiling mouth, jointed body at neck, shoulders and hips, wore an animal print top edged in red bias tape and red panties, doll marked Eegee 150-2 or unmarked.

1963 Eegee Baby Tandy Talks doll 20" tall

1963 Eegee Baby Tandy Talks doll, 14″ or 20″ tall, pull string talking mechanism, similar to the Tandy Talks doll but smaller and a baby body type, doll mark Eegee.

1963 Eegee Tandy Talks doll, 21 to 36″ a Playpal type doll, rooted hair, blue sleep eyes, painted freckles, toddler hard plastic body, pull string talker that says various phrases, doll mark Eegee.

1963 Eegee Victorian Lady doll 15" tall

1963-1968 Eegee Victorian Lady doll, 15″ tall, sleep eyes, real lashes, hard plastic body, rooted hair, this one is wearing a red velvet dress trimmed with lace and a matching bonnet (probably several different costumes for this doll over the years), doll mark Eegee.
