Edmund Edelmann Dolls 1903+ German
Edmund Edelmann doll company of Sonneberg, Germany, founded in 1903 was in the doll making business from 1919 onward. Their antique bisque baby doll socket heads were purchased from Armand Marseille or Schoenau & Hoffmeister. Edelmann also supplied dolls or doll parts to doll hospitals. Edelmann made character baby dolls with a bisque or celluloid socket head 16, 20 or 24″ tall, on a five piece composition toddler or bent limb baby body, molded painted hair or wigged, sleep eyes, open mouth, some with pierced or open nostrils.
