CM Bergmann Dolls German


Charles M. Bergmann doll company was founded in Waltershausen, Thüringia, Germany in 1888, by 1907 he added a second factory in Friedrichroda, Germany. CM Bergmann dolls came in sizes from 13 to 34″ tall, papier mache dolls, bisque shoulder head and kid body or bisque socket head on a composition jointed body and character baby dolls, heads were supplied by Armand Marseilles, ABG Alt, Beck & Gottschalck, Kammer & Reinhardt, Simon & Halbig.
CM Bergmann dolls were distributed in the United States by Louis Wolf & Company, who registered the following doll trademarks; 1892-1917 Cinderella Baby doll, 1904 (S & H mold 1280) & 1915 Columbia doll, 1914 Baby Belle doll, Eleonore doll, 1918 Spezial doll and 1926 My Golden Star doll – in German Mein Goldstern doll. CM Bergmann’s doll company ceased operations after filing bankruptcy in 1931.
