Kley & Hahn Antique Bisque Dolls 1902+ German

The Kley & Hahn Doll Factory was founded in Ohrdruf, Thüringia, Germany in 1902 by Albert Kley and Paul Hahn as a porcelain factory making bisque doll heads and bathing beauty dolls, from 1902 to 1931 they made many types of dolls, including dolls of celluloid.

Kley & Hahn also got bisque doll heads from Hertel, Schwab  & Company who made the 100 series doll molds, Kestner made the 200 and 600 series and Walkure doll molds, Schoenau & Hoffmeister made doll mold 282 and possibly other molds and Bahr & Pröschild contributed the 500 series doll molds. 

Some Kley & Hahn doll trade names are The Dollar Princess, The Dolly Princess, Special, Durabel, K., Majestic, Mein Einzige Baby (My Only Baby), Mein Einziges (My Only One), Princess, Schneewittchen (Snow White) and Walkure.

Kley & Hahn made Dolly Face, Walküre, Character Babies and Child dolls with composition jointed bodies, all of very good quality, Cellunova composition heads and bodies. Albert Kley passed away in 1922 and sole owner Mr. Hahn began an association in 1924 with German doll and toy maker Siegismund Markmann of Berlin.
